Started rehearsals for Arabian Nights on Monday. It’s been a jam packed week so far with music calls, dance calls, puppetry workshops, animal studies, a little bit of viewpoints, some status games, some text analysis and as of tomorrow a trampoline! I love it.
The cast and creatives are exceptionally enthusiastic and I’ve never felt so supported in the rehearsal room, of course it does help that there are twenty million stage management and design assistants. But still. This is what all rehearsal rooms should feel like – open, energised, exciting – a place to play and dream and make mistakes and laugh.
I can’t wait to get back in there tomorrow…hopefully with a trampoline.
